    Bathroom Procedure

Students will be allowed to go to the bathroom when it is necessary.  If teacher is talking or giving directions, the students should wait until the teacher is not talking.  Only one girl and one boy may go to the bathroom at a time.  They will pick up a bathroom pass at the door.  A missing bathroom pass is an indication that other students should wait until the pass is returned.  Students should not have to go to the bathroom more than twice each morning or evening unless there is a problem the teacher has been notified about.  Students who abuse bathroom privileges will  be taken to the bathroom by the teacher.

Rewards

1.  Student will be given a penny ticket each time they display appropriate behavior.
2.  Penny tickets will be counted on Friday and traded for nickel tickets.   5 penny tickets earns one nickel ticket.
3.  Students with determined number of tickets will earn a trip to the Treasure Chest, Game Day, or Extra Recess Time on Friday.  Award activity and cost will be determined each Friday.
4.  Sample Criteria for Earning Tokens may include:  bringing in bulldog folder, good behavior in the cafeteria, hallway behavior, and following classroom rules.
 5.  4 students each week will be recognized who display appropriate behavior.  Their parents will receive a phone call and the students will visit the principal who will commend them for their great behavior.

Consequences

For choosing not to follow the rules, students face the following consequences:
1. Students will lose penny tickets for unacceptable behaviors.
2.  Student not having the determined number of nickel tickets will not get to participate in the Friday reward.
3. Student may receive time out in the classroom if behavior becomes disruptive to the learning of the class.  If so, parents will be notified by a note.  Student may lose a portion of their penny tickets if this happens.
4.  Student may receive time out in another classroom if disruptive behavior continues.   Parents will receive a phone call.  Of course another portion of their award tickets may be taken.
5.  Severe disruptions will be handled by the principal.  Principal may choose to take all of a student's tickets.
