Trees

Trees are the largest plants to live on earth.  They have only one stem called the trunk.  Plants grow for a short time and then die.  Trees continue to grow for hundreds and thousands of years.  Height is another difference that sets trees and other plants apart.  Trees grow at least 15-20 feet tall and some types grow over 200 feet.
